INSTALL MYST 3 ON WINDOWS 7 UPDATE
I finally discovered that the reason is because, for Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1, a security update from Microsoft in 2015 de-activated a copyright protection method called SafeDisc, which Myst Exile needs to start. I just wanted to share this SOLUTION for anyone who (like me) has been going crazy searching every website and forum in vain to understand why Myst Exile won’t run in Windows 7 after installing it from the original CD’s.
